A tablet at the station. A smart workstation on the line.

Pair any tablet to a workstation and Ignite Lean takes it from there. Operators badge in, walk the latest published sequence. With photos, arrows, and scan-validated parts. And every keystroke ends up in the audit trail. No native app, no installer, no five-figure scanner gun.

Tablet kiosk per station

Guided builds, glove-friendly

The operator badges in, picks their next unit off the station queue, and walks the build step by step. Each step shows the latest published work instruction (with photos and labelled callouts), flags scan-required parts, and tracks target vs. actual cycle. Mid-build problems are a tap away. Defect flag with photo, downtime start, kiosk message to the supervisor.

  • Badge-in (PIN or printable QR badge) identifies the operator at the station
  • Latest published WI auto-loads. Never an obsolete revision on the floor
  • Scan-required parts and step ordering enforced per task
  • Defect / scrap / variance captured with photo, in-line
  • Runs in any browser on any tablet. IPad, Surface, Android. No install

Operator-first kiosk

The screen works for the operator

Every tablet shows the operator their personal queue, target vs. actual cycle time on the current build, and recent completes for their station. Stations stop being faceless data-capture terminals and start feeling like the operator's own bench. Which is exactly what drives the engagement gap in SMB manufacturing.

  • Personal queue per operator
  • Target vs. actual cycle time, live during the build
  • Recent completes visible at the station
  • Ownership for the operator, not just data capture for the boss
Serial + kit handling

Auto-generated or scanned. Your call

For a 50-unit JV-7 brake caliper order, kick off auto-generated serials (BC-260517-0001…0050) and the kiosk hands one to the operator each time. Need pre-printed labels from a customer? Switch to scanned mode and the kiosk demands a serial scan before the build starts. Parallel sub-assemblies merge into a parent serial when they reach the join station.

  • Per-order toggle: auto-generate vs. scan at build start
  • Format string with year / month / sequence tokens
  • Parallel sub-assemblies merge into one parent serial at the join station
  • Scan-required parent-serial enforcement on downstream stations
