OPC-UA + Ignite Lean

Available now

The industrial interoperability standard for reading PLC and SCADA tags directly. Vendor-neutral machine data via the Ignite Lean OPC-UA bridge.

OPC-UA

How the Connection Works

Machine / PLCcycle, state, faults
OPC-UASCADA / edge
OPC-UA
Ignite Leaningest + map tags
Downtime on the floor map
Live OEE + cycle time
Auto work orders

How It Works

  1. 1OPC-UA exposes tags from nearly any modern PLC or SCADA system.
  2. 2Run the Ignite Lean opcua-bridge service on a plant-floor mini-PC or VM that can reach the OPC-UA server.
  3. 3Map each node id to a station + metric in Settings -> Connectors and the values land as machine_events that drive the floor map, OEE, and auto-WOs.

Recommended Workflows

How OPC-UA works best with Ignite Lean. These are recommended patterns: Ignite Lean fires the trigger, and how OPC-UA routes it (which work group, which device, which rule) is configured to your IT setup.

One pipe, every device
Trigger Any Sparkplug or OPC-UA edge publishes a tag
  1. 1Your broker or edge agent forwards the message to the Ignite Lean ingest endpoint.
  2. 2Ignite Lean maps the tag to a station and a metric.
  3. 3Cycle, state, and downtime data drive the floor map, OEE, and auto work orders.
Build the pipe once and add machines without new integration work each time.
